How long does the battery last?
It depends on the size, the setting and the lid. With the lid fitted, the 14 oz holds 3 hours at 135°F and 2 hours 30 minutes at 145°F. The 10 oz holds 4 hours at 135°F and 3 hours 30 minutes at 145°F. With no lid at 145°F, the 14 oz runs 100 minutes and the 10 oz runs 140 minutes. On the coaster, either size holds any setting indefinitely, lid fitted or not, since it charges while it warms.
How do I charge it?
Set the mug on the plugged-in coaster. Charging starts automatically. There is nothing to plug into the mug itself.
My Ondo will not charge. What do I check?
Three things fix almost every case. Check the cable is seated at both ends and try a different outlet. Then dry and clean the contacts: the mug charges through the gold rings on its base and the pins on the coaster, and moisture or coffee residue on either stops charging, so wipe both with a dry cloth. Finally, give it 30 minutes: a completely flat battery can keep the display dark at the start of a charge, so leave the mug on the powered coaster for half an hour, then hold the button for 2 seconds. If it still will not charge, email support@ondomug.com with your order number. Charging faults are covered by the 1-year warranty.
Why did my mug turn itself off?
That is the low-battery protection. When the battery runs low away from the coaster, Ondo shuts down after 30 minutes to protect the cells. Set it back on the coaster to recharge.
How do I keep the charging contacts working?
Keep the gold rings on the mug base and the pins on the coaster clean and dry. Wipe them with a dry cloth after washing the mug and before setting it back down. That one habit prevents nearly all charging problems.
