What temperatures can I set?
Four settings: 122°F, 131°F, 135°F, and 145°F (50, 55, 57, and 62.5°C). Press the button on the base to cycle through them, then off. The default on first use is 135°F, and Ondo remembers your last setting.
What is the display telling me?
HELLO means it is powering on, and GOODBYE means it is powering off. A rising number means a hot drink was detected and it is warming to your setting. EMPTY means the mug is empty or the drink has cooled below 100°F. A steady number with a battery level appears when you shake or lift the mug, that is the current drink temperature. A battery-too-cold message means bring the mug to room temperature before use. An overheated message means it is cooling itself, give it a few minutes. An error message means a hardware issue, email us and we will make it right under your warranty.
Should I use the lid?
Whenever you can. The lid extends run time by about half again at the same setting. At 145°F the 14 oz runs 100 minutes with no lid and 2 hours 30 minutes with the lid fitted, and the 10 oz runs 140 minutes with no lid and 3 hours 30 minutes with the lid fitted. It is included free with every Ondo and is dishwasher safe.
Can I use it for tea or other drinks?
Yes. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, anything you would drink warm. Ondo holds whatever is in the cup at your setting. Hand wash between very different drinks so flavors do not carry over.
Does it turn on by itself?
Yes. Placing the mug on the coaster powers it on automatically. Pouring a hot drink into a powered-on mug starts warming automatically. You can also power it on or off manually by holding the button for 2 seconds.
Can I leave it on the coaster all day?
Yes, that is what the coaster is for. On the coaster, Ondo charges and holds your temperature continuously, so your drink stays warm as long as it sits there.
